I attended the recent Billy Corgan show in Atlanta, GA

I attended the recent Billy Corgan show in Atlanta, GA at Earthlink Live. Mary Catherine Martinez was kind enough to join me and allow me to take pictures with her camera.

In general, the songs I enjoy from TheFutureEmbrace (such as: M.O.H., Walking Shade, The Camera Eye), were not as good live - due to missing "sound effects", (??) while the songs I didn't care for on the album came out much better. Billy seemed to make a few mistakes on Walking Shade. My pictures of The Crimea 's, Doris Henson's and Billy Corgan's sets are on my flickr account. They aren't from up close; I decided to sit back to the right of the lights/stage control. We also took some general shots of the Earthlink Live venue, but they are not separated out of the photos from that day.

According to someone on Netphoria, the set list is as follows:

  1. A100

  2. The Camera Eye

  3. To Love Somebody

  4. Mina Loy (M.O.H.)

  5. I'm Ready

  6. Sorrows (in Blue)

  7. Bit 7

  8. Johanna

  9. Now (and Then)

  10. Walking Shade

  11. Sittin' on Top of the World

  12. All Things Change

  13. Bit 5

  14. Encore 1

    1. Strayz

  15. Encore 2

    1. King Bee

    2. It's a Long Way to the Top (if You Wanna Rock n' Roll)

Memories of Nic Villarreal

Nic attended his final semester at Kettering University in the Spring of 2005, after which he returned to San Antonio. These are my memories of him:

peanut butter and jelly andwiches
dancing around like maniacs in each other's rooms and at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival
working out
landscaping in the Vehicross
throwing the Aerobie
shooting the shit while shirking homework
eating at Ernie's
dining out with Leah and others during our first year
laughing
playing Top Gear
"Is it school? (no) Does it take time? (yes) Waste of time!"
