I finished reading the 9/11 Comission Report today. It is densely packed with facts and recommendations. I don't really know what to say about it. The domestic wire tapping program makes more sense to me now, but I still believe that type of policy change should have been be debated, authorized and overseen by Congress. I am now more willing to accept a national id. I support the cross-referencing of commercial databases of civilian personal information with law enforcement, counter-terrorism, immigration, national entry/exit, and other databases, provided that audit trails for database accesses are kept. I support... eh, lost my train of thought.
